Queen Bey!! There really isn't much to not love about her! On stage she looks amazing and from the pics below she looks just as great when shes not too busy dominating the world and awing us with those amazing moves of hers.
Im absolutley loving her off-stage look an how all the outfits have been accesorized and styled. Her take on street style is extremely stylish, simple yet statment! It looks like shes a fan of pants/trousers and point toe shoes, which are all the rage right now. There isnt a shoe store you wouldnt find a pair in!
Her look is super easy to achieve and easy on the pockets too!
Tip: Tapered trousers and harem pants are stylish way to add some glam to your wardrobes. Their loose fits mean you get comfort and still get to keep the style!

This year's red carpet was graced with some beautiful couture gowns and the odd unconventional attire!
My absolute favourite was Kelly Rowland in Georges Chakra fish tail gown with structured sheer detailing. She was perfect! Light and simple hair and make up worked hand in hand with dress and allowed it to make it's bold statement. Her look was extremely sexy but still red carpet ready!!
Second favourite was most definitely Taylor Swift in a white J Mendel gown with a thigh high split, a plunging neckline, accordion pleats and silver detailing. The gorgeous silver detailing increased focus on her waist and neckline. Uber feminine and left her looking very goddess like!
Jennifer Lopez failed to disappoint in an all black Anthony Vaccarello one shouldered attire, with a thigh high split showing off those legs of steel!
Most definitely the Vixen of the evening I'd say!! She paired the gorgeous dress with simple black sandals with a gold cuff.
Perfect!
Quick Tip:
Thigh-high splits will elongate the legs and add instant sex appeal to any outfit but be careful not to overdo it!
Solange did it for me rocking 2013 colour of the year! The emerald green beaded dress by Ralph & Russo looked absolutely ravishing on her. She also showed off some leg with a thigh high split, structured shoulders and added a pop of colour to the green dress with fluorescent spiked Louboutins!
Quick Tip :
Structured/Padded shoulders bring in the waistline and make it look smaller.
Beyonce looked lovely but must have not gotten the memo on the dress code!!! I know she's Queen B and all that stuff but she failed to deliver with her understated monochrome one-piece. Great Outfit!! Wrong Event!!!
I recently started using this new app I randomly discovered (Polyvore) to create looks and outfits. I decided i would pick a theme/event etc each week and put together a few looks for it just to give you beaus some inspiration when putting outfits together and all that fun stuff. I just started using it today and im so super hooked!!! I thought i'd post 3 different looks that I've messed around with and put together today . Best part of the app is it tells you where everythings from so if you want those exact items, it there should be no hassle finding it!!
Look 1: Fresh!!
Dolce&Gabbana blouse(farfetch.com)/ Salvatore Ferragamo linen blazer / White crepe trousers- www.bymalenebirger.com / White point toe shoes- Alejandro Ingelmo 'Athena'/ Citrine sandals- Jimmy Choo 'Malika' / Tom Ford cat eye frame.
Look 2: Sophisticoloured!
Alexander McQueen Peplum Jacket/ Johnathan Saunders polka dot pencil skirt / Magenta shoes-Yves Saint Laurent / Green Gucci wallet / Earrings- www.olivierlaudus.com
I know some of the pieces are super expensive ,high fashion brandswhich of course not everyone is willing to splash out on, but the idea is just to give guidelines and some inspiration. Not compulsory to get those exact items!! When i can i'll do my best to provide links on some more affordable replicas. Hope you like!!
Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutley love wearing colours! Mixing the simplest and the strangest of colours just to see what I would end up with . A lot of people tend to steer away from colourful outfits because they can sometimes be more difficult to put together and can sometimes be a lot more conspicuous than you may be aiming for.
I think it's absolutley esssential for everyone to own at least a couple of bright coloured pieces in their wardrobe. And candy colours and pastels are so super in at the moment so what better time to grab some colour. I put together a few looks with some brights and some pastels ....
City Girl Chic
I kept the first really simple teaming a black knittted jumper with a black blazer ,pastel green bottoms and black poin toe court shoes.
Keep It Cute
I teamed the same pastel green bottoms with a paisley print salmon shirt and bright green court shoes. Perfect outfit for a nice and easy spring day.
Give Me More...
This look is uber fun and flirty for my fellow colour lovers . I paired a lilac sheer blouse with a pair of cropped coral jeans and coral sandals with a graphic print clutch for added oomph :). I added a navy blue military style coat so keep it clean and stylish.
My final look is a little on the risky side for those who dare to try! Instead of the usual black or dark colours when going for an edgy look try a pretty colour for a little twist! A camoflague military hat on a pastel green bodycon dress and a pair of ankle boots with a black biker jacket!
I'm finally done with my exams and feeling super relaxed again! As soon as I was done I got my glad rags on and was off to the city to see my familia!
I'm so excited to finally be able to shift my attention from the books back to the fashion! I'll be Planning some fun fashion fuelled projects that are to come! Gonna get back to my sewing machine and make some magic happen! And In the words of June Ambrose I'll be on a "Style Stalk"'as per usual!!
& Of course ill be keeping you posted! Anyway here's what I wore last night !!!
So I know I'm a few days late on delivering the whole Golden Globe 2013 news but I've been swamped with deadlines and haven't had time to update! Pardon me my loves !!
Well down to buisness! The Golden Globees as I'm sure you already know is a star studded event feauting the flashiest and the frumpiest. My favourite part of course are the red carpet appearances, who looks amazing , who looks not-so-amazing . Who's wearing who, what and how!!
I decided not to focus too much on the poorly dressed (it makes me so angry when i see these rich people looking so 'boo'. its like whats the point in all your money!!) . I'm just going to embrace my 10 favourite star appearances and their ensembles.
To me these stars shone the brightest looking chic, elegant and far from overstated in their pretty frocks!
After a brief conversation with a friend who was at the London Collections; Men this week, i was reminded about how amazing A.McQueen's lines were. I thought it was imperative that i did a brief post in honour of him.
I find his (and now Sarah Burton's) work astoundingly moving and consistently thought provoking. Never afraid to take a step into the unknown and always giving us creativity beyond our wildest expectations.
The first time I ever watched an Alexander McQueen show I literally had goosebumps and it sounds really cliche but I seriously just wanted moreee! The theatrics always made it that much more exciting, giving us fashion as we've never known it!
One of my favourite of his shows was theSpring/Summer 2001 show. Mainly because it made me stop and think. The show featured iconic model Kate Moss. The models walked in a glass box separating them from audience. With padded walls and models heads wrapped in bandages. Models trembled and gazed in confusion through the glass. I gathered a sense of sickness from all that was going on. At the end of the show a box opened and shattered freeing moths and revealing a naked and meaty woman in a gas mask.
Yeah i know! so weird yet so Epic!! but I guess thats what set him appart from the rest.
Another of my favourites was his last ever Spring/Summer Collection in 2010 Entitled Platos Atlantis. Atlantis is a legendary and beautiful island first mentioned by Plato. It was said to have sunk into the Atlantic ocean after an earthquake. His interpretation of this through garments were absolutley spot on. The collection featured the infamous shoes Lady Gaga wore in her music video 'Bad Romance'. Fluid dresses in pretty blues. The ambience to me was almost animalistic yet suttle in its ways. I LOVED the pieces in this, if i could i'd own them all . In all his theatrical efforts he somehow managed balance so that focus on the clothing is not lost!
All his shows are amazing but these two always stand out in my mind for various reasons.
He truly is an icon and a legend in his craft.... he brought to fashion what others feared to and did it amazingly. May his soul rest in peace.
I thought u might like to watch them for yourself ! :) Enjoy !!
For some strange reason I couldnt get the full lenght video to the SS2010 to upload so this is about half the show :(.
